Electrical Design Engineer - Substation Professional

Are you a skilled electrical design engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity? We have an exciting role available for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, designing panel schematic drawings and protection/control schemes, and conducting technical evaluations of equipment offers.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field, with 5 years+ relevant experience (Ideal). They will also have familiarity with HV substation design (10kV to 220kV), experience with Eplan and AutoCAD 2D, and strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

As a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. You will have opportunities to grow your skills and knowledge in electrical design, installation, and commissioning for bespoke and turnkey solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering drawings and designs for electrical systems and infrastructure.
  • Design and develop panel schematic drawings and protection/control schemes.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of equipment offers and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams on key projects and provide expert advice on electrical design and installation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
  • 5 years+ relevant experience (Ideal).
  • Familiarity with HV substation design (10kV to 220kV).
  • Experience with Eplan and AutoCAD 2D.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Team player and possess good leadership qualities.
