Production Technician

We are presently recruiting a skilled production technician for our manufacturing facility in County Kerry.

  • Support the shift production supervisor to maintain seamless production during the shift.
  • Gain hands-on experience in injection moulding, silicone moulding, and automated assembly processes.
  • Troubleshoot, fine-tune processes, and respond promptly to machine breakdowns.
  • Assist with mould changeovers, routine maintenance, and process optimisation to reduce downtime.
  • Ensure product quality meets documented specifications and production targets are achieved.
  • Monitor machine performance, reject levels, and material usage to maintain efficiency.
  • Communicate shift objectives clearly to team members and help organise workflow.
  • Step in to supervise and manage operatives when the supervisor is unavailable.
  • Ensure raw materials and components are available for continuous production.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to cleanroom and hygiene regulations.
  • Support employee training and keep training records up to date.
  • Report issues or concerns to management in a timely and constructive manner.

Key Qualifications and Experiences:

  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar role.
  • A relevant technical qualification (e.g. QQI Level 6, Diploma, or equivalent in engineering, electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing disciplines) is highly desirable but not essential.
  • A basic understanding of injection moulding, silicone moulding, or automated assembly processes is desirable.
