Our client is a leading financial institution seeking an experienced Information Risk Assurance Professional to join their team in Dublin. The Information Risk Team sits within the second line of defence function, overseeing and challenging risk arising from operational information and personal data processing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing control assurance, ISMS audits, and issue resolution, collaborating with colleagues across the firm. They will also track and close internal audit issues, identify tools for efficient operation, and possess a clear understanding of the ISO 27001 standard and compliance audit management.

Required skills include analytical and organisational abilities, with experience in information security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity and AICPA SOC2 being valuable. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, minimal supervision requirements, and excellent communication skills.

They should also have knowledge of IT service management frameworks and be able to apply this in the role. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for this position.

As part of the Information Risk Team, they will play a key role in ensuring the overall risk posture of the organisation is managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage control assurance activities to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Perform ISMS audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve audit findings and implement recommendations.
  • Track and close internal audit issues in a timely manner.
  • Identify and recommend tools for efficient operation.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in ISO 27001 and compliance audit management.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks.
