Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our department as a Senior Lecturer II.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social sciences and a proven track record of leadership, management, and academic expertise.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our team and contribute to the development of our academic programs.

As a senior lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching, research, and program development, as well as providing academic leadership and scholarship.

You will also supervise staff members, evaluate their performance, and provide advisory support.

  • Teaching: You will teach classes for up to 105 hours per annum and carry out assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of examination work.
  • Academic Leadership: You will provide academic leadership and scholarship on existing and new courses, in course development, and coordination.
  • Staff Supervision: You will direct and supervise the work of members of staff, including evaluating their performance and acting in an advisory capacity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications: A first or second-class level 8 honours degree from a recognised degree-awarding authority in Health and Social Care related discipline, or an equivalent relevant professional qualification obtained through examination.
  • Experience: Not less than five years' relevant professional experience in industry, research, or teaching subsequent to obtaining the above-mentioned qualification.
  • Desirable Qualifications: A relevant postgraduate degree, ideally at doctorate level by a recognised degree awarding authority and/or relevant equivalent qualification obtained through examination.
