We are seeking an experienced leader to manage our company's credit function. This role involves making informed decisions regarding credit lines and overseeing the direct line management of a team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proactive in their approach, and provide clear guidance to ensure targets are met.

The successful applicant will have a strong analytical background, with the ability to produce and analyze complex debt ledgers. They will also work closely with other departments, including sales and pricing teams. Building strong relationships is crucial for this position.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and Managing the Team

  • To effectively lead and manage the team to achieve high performance levels.
  • To ensure adequate training and coaching is available to team members.

Maintaining Credit and Collections Standards

  • To maintain the highest standards of credit and collections, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • To handle customer queries and escalations efficiently.

Customer Relationships and Payment Plans

  • To agree customer payment plans.
  • To liaise with Debt Collection Agencies (DCAs) and legal counsel when necessary.

Reporting and Representation

  • To prepare weekly/monthly and quarterly reports.
  • To represent the company at industry events and meetings as required.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a credit environment, preferably within the food services sector. They must also possess strong people management skills and a demonstrated understanding of debt ledgers. Strong negotiation skills are essential, as well as relevant qualifications and knowledge of SOX compliance. A full class B driver's license and flexibility to travel are also required.
