Expert Data Architect

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the integration and transformation of diverse data sources into a centralized data warehouse, optimized for analytics and insights. This role requires delivering end-to-end data projects, collaborating with analysts to support informed decision-making, ensuring compliance with data governance and privacy standards, and providing technical support for data systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills in SQL and Python, experience working with Azure tools, and expertise in relational data systems and data architecture paradigms. They will also have a solid understanding of data warehouse architecture, development, and quality principles, as well as Agile processes and DataOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration and Transformation: Integrate and transform structured and unstructured data from multiple sources into the data warehouse, optimizing for analytics and insights.
  • Data Project Delivery: Deliver end-to-end data projects, including development, testing, deployment, and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with data analysts to support insight generation and data-driven decision-making, and provide first and second line support for data systems managed by the team.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards in collaboration with IT, Information Security, and Data Protection teams.

Requirements:

  • Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in SQL and Python.
  • Azure Experience: Experience working with Azure tools, including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, MS Fabric, Power BI, and Azure DevOps.
  • Data Architecture: Expertise in relational data systems and data architecture paradigms, including SQL, NoSQL, Spark, and Delta Lakehouse.
  • Agile Processes: Solid understanding of Agile processes and DataOps best practices, including coding standards, version control, testing, and operations.
