Job Overview

Data Engineers play a pivotal role in integrating and transforming data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse optimized for analytics and insights.

About the Role:

  • Integrate and transform structured and unstructured data from multiple sources into the data warehouse, optimizing for analytics and insights.
  • Deliver end-to-end data projects, including development, testing, deployment, and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to support insight generation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards in collaboration with IT, Information Security, and Data Protection teams.
  • Provide first and second-line support for data systems managed by the team.
  • Enhance data governance and internal capabilities through SOP development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in both SQL and Python.
  • Experience working with, and certification in, Azure suite of tools, including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, MS Fabric, Power BI, and Azure DevOps, and integration with GIT.
  • Experience with relational data systems and data architecture paradigms (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Spark, Delta Lakehouse).
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and development, data quality principles, Agile processes, and DataOps best practices, including coding standards, version control, testing, and operations.
  • Experience with enterprise systems and diverse data sources, including SAP ERP, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and on-prem databases (structured and unstructured).
