The Role: As a Therapeutic Intervention Specialist, you will focus on providing ongoing therapeutic interventions that help individuals build communication skills, self-confidence, and independence.
Working in partnership with clients, families, and other team members, you will:
- Deliver one-to-one and group therapeutic sessions in line with personalised intervention plans.
- Provide families and carers with practical strategies that support communication in everyday life.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists, and assistant psychologists to ensure integrated and cohesive support.
- Adapt therapy approaches to reflect each individual’s unique needs, preferences, and strengths.
- Keep accurate records of interventions and client progress.
- Contribute ideas for service development, helping shape innovative therapy programmes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or related field.
- Passion for supporting Autistic people in a respectful, flexible, and collaborative way.
- CORU registered.
- Relevant post-qualification or under-graduate placement experience in a paediatric/disability setting.
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
- Excellent communication skills oral and written.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner and to work as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Effective use of reflective practice/supervision process.
