Job Title: Operational Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced operational team lead to join our dynamic team. As an operational team lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the depot, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Lead a team of warehouse operatives and loaders to deliver a smooth, efficient shift.
  • Rota Planning: Plan rotas, manage holidays, and ensure that everything runs like clockwork.
  • Transport Operations: Support transport operations and ensure driver compliance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance, productivity, and safety standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Drive quality, reducing mis-sorts and damages, and hitting key KPIs.
  • Training and Development: Coach and develop your team to be their best.
  • Depot Security: Keep the depot safe, secure, and compliant at all times.
  • People Processes: Manage people processes like onboarding, absence, and recognition.

In this role, you will need to have strong operational knowledge and supervisory experience, as well as great communication and leadership skills. You should also be confident with data, reports, and performance metrics, and able to stay calm under pressure and solve problems on the go.
