Industrial Equipment Specialist

The role of an Industrial Equipment Specialist is a challenging and rewarding career path that requires experience with industrial equipment in a production setting.

This position involves performing tasks related to the safe and efficient application of technical skills and knowledge to maintain machinery, conveyors, and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment including conveying systems, machine centers, and edgers.
  • Read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
  • Work safely under pressure and be able to think critically.
  • Have a basic understanding of line ups of pumps, sheaves, sprockets, and machine centers.
  • Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
  • Adjust the tension on nuts and bolts or position parts using hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb tools.
  • Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools.
  • Lay out mounting holes using measuring instruments and drill holes with a power drill.
  • Replace defective parts of a machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
  • Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
  • Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit using hand tools and power tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cutting torch experience (Oxygen/Acetylene).
  • Welding experience (GMAW and SMAW).
  • Strong safety record and ability to comply with safety protocols.
  • Ability to work overtime and be on-call to support operations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Millwright in an industrial environment or an associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
