Industrial Equipment Specialist

Mechanic Fitters play a vital role in the maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. Their responsibilities include inspecting, adjusting, rebuilding, laser aligning, balancing, and leveling pumps, fans, and other rotating machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent welding skills, using steel plate and work platforms for repairs and installations.
- They will be responsible for completing preventive maintenance tasks on all plant mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring it operates within safety parameters.
- Troubleshooting and correcting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems will also be a key part of their duties.
- Close collaboration with the Lead Mechanic is essential for training and developing electrical and mechanical skills.
- Supporting warehouse and operations personnel as needed will also be an important aspect of this role.
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized workspace is crucial for productivity and efficiency.
A Leaving Certificate and three years' experience in power or industrial plant maintenance are essential requirements. Formal technical or apprentice training in electricity, welding, mechanical, millwright, plumbing, or machining is required. Additionally, trade qualification in a relevant discipline is necessary for this position.
