Project Engineer Job Overview

EPS is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our Contracts team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing water and wastewater treatment projects from conception to completion.

As a key member of the project delivery team, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of water and wastewater pumping and treatment installations, primarily focused on Mechanical/Electrical/ICA requirements with minor civil works included.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project management: ensuring the smooth execution of water and wastewater treatment projects from start to finish.
  • Health & Safety: coordinate safety efforts and liaise with our internal HSQE Department to ensure safe work practices onsite during all site installations.
  • Design: collaborate with the design team in delivering innovative solutions and utilizing modern technologies.
  • Procurement: manage all items required for project delivery.
  • Creating project program and ensuring that all required project interfaces are allowed for, from design to final site commissioning & handover.
  • Client Engagement: work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, provide regular project updates and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Resource Management: oversee all site labour including subcontractors.
  • Documentation: prepare engineering reports, method statements and commissioning schedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in PC skills.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills.
  • Strong engineering analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven experience in an engineering role in a Mechanical & Electrical environment.
  • Third level Mechanical Engineering degree or similar relevant third level qualification.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role desirable.
