Maintenance Supervisor Job Opportunity

The Maintenance Supervisor role is a key position within our organization, responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager in coordinating preventative maintenance activities and liaising with engineers and vendors.

As a member of our maintenance team, you will spend 50% of your time working hands-on on equipment and plant maintenance, addressing mechanical repairs to a wide range of equipment and processes, including high-speed packing, automation, electro/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and facilities maintenance.

  • Identify and carry out preventative maintenance outside formal maintenance programs.
  • Provide technical support requirements for production lines and their supporting processes.
  • Use knowledge and available materials to ensure production downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.
  • Set up and change over machines for different products.
  • General facility maintenance.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A relevant trade qualification with strong aptitude and wide-ranging mechanical and electrical skills.
  • The ability to read mechanical schematic drawings, use a multi-meter, and troubleshoot electrical faults.
  • A good understanding of automation and an automated environment, comfortable with modern equipment control interfaces.
  • Automation literate, comfortable with modern equipment control interfaces.
  • Be willing and able to start work at varying times on a rotation basis.
  • Work two Saturdays in four in a typical month, getting a day in lieu instead.
  • Speak fluent English.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a maintenance department/team in a manufacturing/production environment.
