Job Overview:

The role of Bioprocessing Team Lead involves overseeing the efficient production of GMP products according to predetermined schedules. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve manufacturing performance targets, identify and resolve problems, and eliminate obstacles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Bioprocessing Scientists and Manufacturing Technicians, providing guidance, support, motivation, coaching, development, and performance management.
  • Ensure the team is aware of safety hazards and controls, perform risk assessments, and maintain inspection readiness.
  • Oversee Quality issue first response during bioprocessing, ensure GMP compliance, and manage documentation and training.
  • Promote continuous improvement within the team, maintaining high standards for quality-critical manufacturing activities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing advanced biochemical drug substance manufacturing to cGMP requirements.
  • Strong background in managing operational health and safety in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in leading, coaching, and developing operational and technical teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage risk effectively.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and use intuition and experience to complement data.
  • Skilled in structured problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
