**Job Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will play a vital role in designing and creating manufacturing documents, as well as providing technical support to various departments.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Support Production: Create and validate CNC part programs for CNC lathes and mills, ensuring that the first part meets drawing specifications.
  2. Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures: Assist with tooling, jig, and fixture development, ensuring optimal manufacturing methods are used.
  3. Troubleshooting and Corrective Actions: Provide effective troubleshooting and corrective actions to improve performance.
  4. Training and Development: Train operators, line leads, and trainers on process changes and enhancements.
  5. Technical Support: Provide technical support to sales, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, and other departments.
  6. Design and Development: Collaborate with engineers to design standard products and provide cost analysis using standard templates.
  7. Engineering/Manufacturing Change Requests: Ensure all controls are adhered to.

Requirements:

  • A 3rd level Engineering qualification is desired but not essential.
  • Very good hands-on experience with CNC machining lathes or milling.
  • Proficiency in drafting techniques, including 2D and 3D CAD.
  • General understanding of engineering standards and practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing techniques and materials in a machine shop environment.
  • 2-5 years working in a machine-oriented manufacturing environment desirable.
