Financial Market Specialist

About the Role

Fund accounting involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. As a Financial Market Specialist, you will review daily cash, position, and market value reconciliations, identifying any discrepancies or unusual activity. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review and reconcile daily cash, position, and market value reports to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or unusual activity.
  • Assist in the Dealing Date accounting process, providing high-quality reporting to meet client needs.
  • Manage workflow, ensuring procedures are up-to-date and providing training to strengthen technical and soft skills within the team.
  • Work closely with colleagues across hub locations, reviewing output from fund accountants in those locations.
  • Assist in semi-annual and annual audits.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to problem-solve and work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to escalate where necessary.
  • Prior experience in fund accounting is essential.
