This PhD opportunity focuses on researching and theorising nightwork within the context of the Irish Nighttime Economy and politics of marginality.


About the Role:
  • Conduct ethnographic research on nightwork in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.
  • Be based in the Department of Sociology and Criminology, under the umbrella of UCC Futures – Collective Social Futures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A strong interdisciplinary background from anthropology, migration, sociology, urbanism, night studies, and more.
