Accounting Role Overview

We are recruiting an Accounts Technician to join our team in Belfast.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of a busy accounts department, working with various clients. This includes:

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
  • Data analysis, reconciliations, and other general accounting tasks.
  • Supporting clients with cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage etc).
  • Processing weekly and monthly payrolls for a range of clients.
  • Assisting with tax return preparation and other compliance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Accounting Technician or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CAI or similar) qualification.
  • University degree with a minimum 2:1 classification.
  • Previous experience of working in an accountancy practice.
  • A forward-thinking mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Good communication skills and a client-focused approach.

A full driving licence is preferred.
