Job Summary

Key Responsibilities for a Maintenance Electrician

A skilled and experienced Maintenance Electrician is required to perform routine checks, calibrate equipment, complete planned maintenance tasks, and identify and manage spare parts to ensure reliable plant operation.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, including mechanical qualification, instrumentation experience, and knowledge of electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings. They will also demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular inspections and monitoring of Plant and Equipment operation to ensure optimal performance and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Test and calibrate plant equipment, alarms, and instrumentation in accordance with CMMS, vendor recommendations, and/or contractual requirements.
  • Complete scheduled mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks as necessary and record completion with CMMS.
  • Collaborate with sub-contractors to ensure timely and safe completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Respond promptly to plant/equipment failures and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Identify and manage spare parts inventory to maintain reliable plant operation.
  • Oversee permit-to-work systems and use remote monitoring tools to verify plant condition.
  • Contribute to improving plant reliability and operational efficiency through suggestions and collaboration with the Team Lead.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical qualification
  • Qualification in instrumentation (an advantage)
  • Multi-skilled/cross-skilled ethos
  • Previous experience in facility maintenance (an advantage)
  • Aptitude for process awareness and diagnostic/trouble-shooting experience in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to interact with suppliers, internal customers, and external contractors

English language proficiency is essential for this role, as is the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
