Job Title:

Civil Structural Design Expert

Overview:

A seasoned CSA design professional is sought to join a collaborative team, responsible for delivering high-quality projects in the life sciences and similar industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive project briefs and user requirement specifications
  • Develop and oversee all CSA design packages, including calculations, REVIT models, AutoCAD drawings, data sheets, specifications, scopes of work, tender enquiries
  • Expertise in civil/structural design, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
  • Manage applications for Fire Certificates, DAC, and Planning Applications, liaising with local authorities as required
  • Coordinate design packages between stakeholders, vendors, and contractors
  • Answer contractor and vendor technical queries, approving submittal approvals
  • Participate in walk-down tender enquiries, issue clarifications, and attend bid clarification meetings
  • Collaborate with external architectural partners during project execution, conducting site audits/inspections
  • Address construction stage RFIs and Technical Submittals, participating in cost estimate preparation
  • Maintain accurate project action lists with owners and completion dates, issue lists with mitigations, owners, and completion dates
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, fostering growth through effective communication
  • Contribute to design safety reviews, prepare project-specific CSA design risk assessments
  • Obtain and sign off on temporary and permanent works design certificates, contributing to safety files
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Minimum degree in civil/structural or architectural discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in construction on projects, preferably in life sciences or similar industries
  • Excellent communication and general management skills
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of industry QA standards, procedures, and processes
