Senior Front Office Ambassador

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Front Office professional to join our team. As a key member of the Front Office leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring that every interaction with our guests is seamless and memorable.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a luxury hotel or resort. They will possess strong leadership qualities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet all guests with genuine warmth and professionalism, using guest names where possible
  • Manage daily guest correspondence and ensure special requests are fulfilled
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily VIP List to the relevant departments
  • Sensibly allocate rooms, keeping guest preferences and requests in mind
  • Perform accurate check-in and check-out procedures using our computerised system
  • Assist guests with additional requirements such as dinner reservations, porter services, or local recommendations
  • Handle any guest concerns promptly and discreetly, escalating where necessary to the Duty Manager
  • Take reservations after 5.00 p.m. and during busy periods
  • Operate the hotel switchboard, ensuring calls are transferred promptly and professionally
  • Accurately post all charges, manage minibar accounts, and ensure group billing is correct
  • Reconcile reception cash and handle foreign exchange transactions securely
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance for new and junior staff
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all hotel services and facilities
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar receptionist or front office role, ideally within a 4 or 5-star property
  • Strong leadership qualities and attention to detail
  • Professional and polished communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and luxury service
  • Competence in using front office systems (Opera Cloud or similar an advantage)
  • A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
