We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renal Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality patient care, particularly in renal nursing.

About the Role
  • This is a fixed-term contract (approximately 18 months) that offers an opportunity to step into a rewarding role where your expertise will directly impact patients living with chronic renal conditions.
Key Responsibilities
  1. You will be responsible for coordinating key elements of the haemodialysis service, including anaemia and bone mineral disorder management.
  2. As a Renal Nurse Specialist, you will lead transplant work-up, evaluation, and post-transplant follow-up for eligible patients.
  3. You will also prescribe and manage the Hepatitis B vaccination programme, including titre monitoring and booster protocols.
  4. Your role will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver patient-centred care plans.
  5. You will be required to analyse and report monthly audit data and clinical metrics for quality assurance.
Requirements
  1. You must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration.
  2. A postgraduate qualification in Renal Nursing is essential.
  3. You should have strong experience working with haemodialysis patients in a clinical setting.
  4. You must be confident in clinical decision-making, nurse prescribing, and working independently.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills are required.
