Assistant Director of Nursing Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified nurse with management experience to take on a challenging and rewarding role.

About the Role:

The Assistant Director of Nursing will be responsible for conducting internal audits, implementing improvements, and developing staff training programs. They will also promote innovative practice and excellence in care, ensuring adherence to HIQA standards. Additionally, they will foster strong relationships with external agencies and the local community, liaise with marketing to enhance the home's profile, and implement health and safety policy and regular fire training.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct internal audits and implement improvements.
  • Develop and lead staff training programs.
  • Promote innovative practice and excellence in care.
  • Ensure adherence to Company and HIQA standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with external agencies and the local community.
  • Liaise with Marketing to enhance the home's profile.
  • Implement Health and Safety Policy and regular fire training.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program.
  • Participate in staff selection and interviewing.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and ensure clinical practice meets regulations.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Qualified Nurse with at least 3 years Management experience in the last 6 years in care of the older person.
  • Post registration management qualification in health or a related field.
  • Proven track record in healthcare clinical management.
  • Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills.
  • Solid decision making ability and results driven.
  • Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the company's needs.
