Job Overview:

A successful Kitchen Stewarding Manager is required to lead a team in maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency across multiple kitchen areas.

This supervisory role involves managing a team of kitchen porters, following staffing schedules, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and service ware according to hotel standards.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing stewarding operations, promoting sustainability, and supporting waste reduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with leading stewarding operations across all kitchen areas.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate a team of kitchen porters.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of dishwashing stations, floors, bins, storage areas, and waste management zones.
  • Oversee and report maintenance needs for all stewarding-related equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to food safety and health regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 23 years of experience in a similar supervisory role in a hotel or high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene practices and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Experience managing a team across multiple outlets or service points is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and under pressure.
