Description:
The Nursing Home Management Lead will oversee the clinical and operational management of a 51-bed nursing home, ensuring high-quality care that meets current HIQA standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of person-centred, evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Evaluate clinical practices to ensure they meet current HIQA standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor care plans in line with updated HIQA guidance.
- Oversee infection prevention and control measures.
- Maintain and update required documentation, including risk registers, incident logs, care plans, and audit results.
- SUPERVISE, MENTOR, AND SUPPORT NURSING AND CARE STAFF PROMOTING CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, rostering, and performance appraisals.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in nursing management or similar aged care setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HIQA, National Standards, and relevant legislation.
