The Food and Beverage Manager role entails overseeing food and beverage operations to deliver exceptional quality service and standards while ensuring a unique guest experience.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as the chief manager of food and beverage operations, focusing on enhancing customer satisfaction and developing team capabilities.
- Lead budget planning and expense control efforts, prioritizing food, beverage, and labor costs.
- Collaborate with Outlet Managers to create a comprehensive business plan for Food & Beverage that aligns with yearly revenue and marketing goals.
- Maintain open communication with all leaders and employees, driving collective progress towards shared objectives.
In partnership with the Events team, identify potential sales opportunities to boost revenue. Develop strategic promotions that balance great dining experiences with excellent value.
Manage local food and beverage marketing programs and maintain system-wide food and beverage marketing initiatives and promotions.
Ensure secure handling of all credit and financial transactions, working closely with key suppliers to procure top-quality products at favorable prices.
Oversee day-to-day staffing needs, plan work assignments, establish performance and development targets for team members, and provide guidance to foster personal growth and skill enhancement.
Provide regular coaching, feedback, and mentoring to help resolve conflicts and improve team member performance.
Educate and train all team members on compliance with relevant laws and safety regulations.
Conduct quarterly evaluations with direct reports, offering insights into personal competencies, technical training, and development opportunities, and address performance or disciplinary matters as needed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the HR Manager and Group Training Manager to design and implement training programs tailored to the F&B department, actively participating in all stages of recruitment, including application screening, interviewing, and contract offers.
Prioritize employee retention and support initiatives aimed at achieving this goal.
Ensure all food and beverage equipment remains in optimal operational condition, is thoroughly cleaned regularly, and is properly maintained and replenished according to anticipated business volume.
Notify engineering promptly of any maintenance or repair requirements.
Set and achieve quality and guest satisfaction objectives.
Respond to all guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with courtesy and promptness to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
Review and approve menu designs and concepts in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
Implement proper food and beverage inventory procedures.
Determine minimum and maximum stock levels for food, beverages, materials, and equipment.
Guarantee the security and proper storage of food, beverages, inventory, and equipment, and replenish supplies efficiently to minimize waste.
Develop action plans to address Guest Service/Employee Satisfaction Survey results and continuously improve performance.
Perform other duties as assigned, potentially serving as manager on duty.
