Desktop Support Professional

This is a high-level, dynamic position that involves providing expert technical support for software and hardware systems. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The role entails working closely with software development teams and system architects to provide primary support for all desktop software and hardware systems using tools such as SCCM, Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Check_MK, and Wireshark.

  • Provide first- and second-level support for trading teams in Dublin.
  • Work on troubleshooting complex queries via ticketing systems.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve support procedures, develop and implement required tools, and associated runtime environments.
  • Collaborate with internal IT support functions to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Liaise with technology teams in the US and/or external vendors as necessary.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base and ensure relevant runbooks are up-to-date.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Expertise

The successful candidate will require:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows desktop OS (Win 10 64-bit, Win 11).
  • Experience managing and addressing complex queries via ticketing systems.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team would be beneficial.
  • Excellent working knowledge of peripherals, printers, graphics cards, and hardware experience.
  • Trading user support experience is beneficial.
  • Advanced knowledge of O365 products, especially MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory.
