DeltaV Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DeltaV Operations Engineer to join our team and support a biotech manufacturing facility for a multinational biopharma client based in Limerick. The successful candidate will bring approximately 5 years of experience in DeltaV Automation within the Life Sciences Industry and work in conjunction with a team of Engineers and Developers to design, enhance and support DeltaV control systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical industry standards including GAMP, S-88 Batch Standard, and 21 CFR Part 11, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also be able to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team.

  • Drive design and enhancement activities across DeltaV control systems and equipment in collaboration with System Integrator Engineers and Developers.
  • Carry out solution assessments and performance reviews to ensure smooth operation of automated systems.
  • Partner with project teams to support the integration of new equipment or technologies into the manufacturing workflow.
  • Provide training and mentorship to other engineers on site where applicable.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with pharmaceutical Industry standards.

This role provides a high degree of autonomy to allow the successful candidate to reach their full potential. It also offers the opportunity to develop new skills and enhance technical ability by working with innovative technologies in a multi-disciplined environment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or Life Sciences.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical DCS environment using Emerson DeltaV.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with DeltaV control system design.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
