Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support in the delivery of facilities management services, including maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the facilities manager and other teams to schedule maintenance activities and ensure that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and provide information for reporting purposes.
  • Work with the facilities team to manage planned maintenance schedules and resources for each building under their remit.
  • Log and update site maintenance-related tasks on the CMMS system and maintain hard copy files of maintenance records.
  • Provide support in the implementation of short-term and long-term projects as required.
  • Maintain building lighting systems, including replacement of fittings and lamps on an ongoing basis.
  • Report to and take direction from the building facilities team while resolving issues at site and escalating when necessary.
  • Foster a proactive approach to health and safety and ensure that work is performed safely.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
