This is an exceptional opportunity to join a team as an Electricity Supply Operations Manager, playing a key role in launching and building a new electricity supply offering in Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that electricity customers come onto the supply on time and with correct opening reads.
  • Manage all exceptions including rejection messages.
  • Identify and resolve anomalies on a timely basis.
  • Provide constructive feedback to other functions (including sales, onboarding, change of tenancy and retention) on any 'agent errors' with the objective of eliminating reoccurrence.
  • Champion continuous improvement, identifying where processes have failed and working with other departments (including IT) to develop robust corrective processes and systems.
  • Develop systemised reporting frameworks and KPIs to monitor and drive operational excellence.
  • Analyse customer data by meter type and tariff to identify and resolve any anomalies.

You will work closely with other functions to maximise the percentage of actual reads at change of supply vs estimated reads, and report concise data-driven metrics, identifying key trends, and making improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Level 3 qualification (e.g. A-levels, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Operations experience within the electricity supply or distribution sector.
  • Strong commercial decision-making skills and the ability to think creatively.
  • Detailed-oriented, process-driven and numeric.
  • Strong people leadership skills providing clear direction, coaching and mentoring.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to influence upwards, downwards and laterally.
  • Customer focused & results driven.
  • Ability to plan, organise and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative and judgement to make decisions.
