The Role of Commercial Financial Analyst

This role is responsible for supporting the General Manager and manufacturing site financial teams in all finance-related matters for the business unit.

As an integral member of the management team, you will be instrumental in delivering accurate financial reporting to the business unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting Support: Assist in preparing and reviewing weekly and monthly financial accounts, in conjunction with site financial teams.
  • Variance Analysis: Prepare variance analysis and commentary on weekly and monthly accounts.
  • Commercial Projects: Be involved in commercial projects to facilitate improved business performance.
  • System Updates: Own and approve all system standard pricing updates.
  • Financial Systems Management: Update and maintain financial systems.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are up to date and accurate.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline processes, improve systems, and be involved in the implementation of ERP systems.
  • Budget Preparation: Support and assist in annual budget preparation.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Site Projects: Be involved in site projects, e.g. new building or new machinery acquisition for new product launch.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports and analyze results for input into Buy/Sell decision-making process.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage CAPEX and associated queries.
  • Results Tracking: Track and analyze weekly and monthly results for both profit and production.
  • Board Meeting Minutes: Prepare bi-monthly Board meeting minutes.
