Job Title: Oceanographic Modeller

We are seeking a skilled Oceanographic Modeller to deliver modelling products for the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS) and engage in data collation, analysis and reporting for the Atlantic Basin Checkpoints project.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Deliver high-quality modelling products for CMEMS
  2. Collate, analyze and report on data for the Atlantic Basin Checkpoints project

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in running and maintaining numerical hydrodynamic and biogeochemical models
  • Specific experience of NEMO and PISCES models
  • A third-level degree in Physical/ Biological Oceanography or a related discipline
  • Advanced IT skills including Linux environment experience and Fortran programming and scripting languages (e.g. Matlab, Python)

As an Oceanographic Modeller, you will work effectively in a team, communicate complex ideas clearly and have a passion for oceanography and a desire to contribute to cutting-edge research.
