Fire Systems Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Systems Engineer to join our team for an immediate start.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of fire detection, alarm and suppression systems, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers. Key duties include:

  • Commissioning fire detection, alarm and suppression systems to agreed customer specifications
  • Servicing and maintaining fire detection, fire suppression systems, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers according to agreed contracts
  • Providing regular reports on activities to enable strategic and operational direction for the fire systems team
  • Closing jobs with accurate information for invoicing customers promptly and certifying work
  • Ensuring all company property, vehicles, stock, test equipment and tools are accounted for and in good working order
  • Supporting sales teams by providing expert advice during on-site inspections
  • Responding to customer queries and resolving issues promptly and courteously
  • Attending to emergency activations and other attendances through service desk and Pageboy services

The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of standards relevant to the fire industry, experience in standard and complex fire suppression systems, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A full clean driving licence is essential, and an electrical background is a distinct advantage.

This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Additionally, the candidate should be able to work effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
