Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring that business requirements related to data migration are captured and validated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and manage the migration of data from legacy systems to new system software/applications.
  • Develop and propose data migration best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  • Liaise with Business and Technology teams to realize data migration requirements while enabling best-in-class customer experiences.

Requirements:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, logical thinking with data protection acumen.
  • Good experience in handling complex data migration projects in a banking domain preferably in lending space.
  • Good working knowledge of database systems, design, and management.
  • Experience in working with large data in various formats, tables, and structures.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize patterns in data sets and structures.
  • Ability to evaluate data sources and foresee obstacles that data might cause during the migration process.
  • Ability to clearly document data migration strategy in JIRA or Confluence and present it to relevant stakeholders for review and sign-off.
  • Extensive experience in data clean-up activities such as identifying and correcting/removing errors, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies in data sets, tables, databases, and improving their quality and usability.
  • Experience in pre-migration planning processes, defining migration scope, and verifying destination system data requirements.
  • Involved in data migration planning and design reviews, conducted formal review meetings with stakeholders, and implemented migration testing strategies.
  • Experience in designing migration test strategies and identifying the right tools for testing such as automated tools to compare source and destination data.
  • Managed post-migration testing and verification of migrated data to new systems.
