About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee asphalt surfacing operations across projects in Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer or Technician with experience in road surfacing, civil engineering, or construction management to showcase their skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day asphalt surfacing operations in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Lead and manage surfacing crews, subcontractors, and plant resources to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Conduct site inspections, setting out, and record-keeping of progress, materials, and quality control.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, local authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Oversee and implement traffic management plans, upholding the highest safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts Manager on planning, reporting, and resource allocation.
Candidate Profile
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in road surfacing or civil engineering projects, preferably with supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of asphalt production, laying techniques, and quality standards.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety regulations (Safe Pass and Manual Handling required).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in setting out, surveying, and interpreting technical drawings.
