
Road Licensing and Reinstatement Manager

We are seeking an experienced Traffic and Road Management Professional to oversee road opening licences, reinstatement programmes, and ensure compliance across multiple infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Take ownership of all road opening licence applications and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with councils, emergency services, utility providers, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate reinstatement schedules, ensuring works are completed on time and in line with performance targets.
- Provide daily support and direction to reinstatement crews, carrying out inspections and audits to monitor quality and standards.
- Manage public notifications and communications relating to road closures, diversions, and service outages.
- Prepare progress updates, reports, and documentation for senior management.
- Act as the first point of contact for any issues, queries, or escalations linked to road licensing or reinstatement works.
- Ensure internal systems are kept fully up to date for reporting and client visibility.
- Support resource planning and team development within a fast-moving environment.
- Prior experience in traffic management, civil engineering, or a similar field.
- Strong organisational and compliance management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage, motivate, and support operational teams.
- Comfortable working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with technical qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
