Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Traffic and Road Management Professional to oversee road opening licences, reinstatement programmes, and ensure compliance across multiple infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of all road opening licence applications and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with councils, emergency services, utility providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate reinstatement schedules, ensuring works are completed on time and in line with performance targets.
  • Provide daily support and direction to reinstatement crews, carrying out inspections and audits to monitor quality and standards.
  • Manage public notifications and communications relating to road closures, diversions, and service outages.
  • Prepare progress updates, reports, and documentation for senior management.
  • Act as the first point of contact for any issues, queries, or escalations linked to road licensing or reinstatement works.
  • Ensure internal systems are kept fully up to date for reporting and client visibility.
  • Support resource planning and team development within a fast-moving environment.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in traffic management, civil engineering, or a similar field.
  • Strong organisational and compliance management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage, motivate, and support operational teams.
  • Comfortable working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with technical qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
