Regional Sustainability Specialist

The overall objective of this assignment is to conduct a study on the Karlovy Vary region's economic opportunities and challenges for transitioning to a green economy and energy system.
The consultant will be responsible for carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the region's economic landscape, identifying potential areas for growth and development, and providing recommendations for improving the region's sustainability.
The project will focus on clean technology deployment, with a specific emphasis on the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA).
Experience working in Czechia, international experience, and knowledge of EU-funded projects will be considered as assets.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical and policy drafting skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement, and ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, Industrial Economics, or Innovation Management
- Fluency in written and spoken English (CEFR C1)
- Strong analytical and policy drafting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including senior management or advisory role
