Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Russian Games Linguist to join our team. As a key member of our community and in-game content team, you will be responsible for translating and transcreating from English into Russian player support, community, and in-game content for mobile games.

You will also test, identify, and report bugs, as well as suggest fixes to potential bugs relating to language, text implementation, and user interface (UI) issues.

Main Responsibilities
  • Translate/transcreate in-game, player support, and community content from English to Russian to a high-quality standard.
  • Perform Quality Assurance tasks in various published content (games, websites, etc.).

  • Be responsible for all linguistic aspects of the translations you are assigned to ensure the best possible quality is achieved.
  • Suggest process improvements that will deliver on the goal of optimal translation quality.
  • Collaborate with linguists in other languages on cross-group Quality objectives.
Requirements
  • Native-level Russian speaker.
  • Passion for the games industry.
  • Educational qualification in linguistics.
  • Experience in translation, copywriting, or linguistics.
  • Excellent verbal and written linguistic skills both in Russian and English.
  • Good PC knowledge, including knowledge of MS office products is essential (basic knowledge of Excel, or willingness to learn).
  • Must be self-motivated and able to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CAT tool software (e.g., Memsource/Phrase, MemoQ) an advantage.
