Russian Games Linguist

We are seeking a skilled linguist to translate and transcreate from English into Russian player support, community, and in-game content for mobile games.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate/transcreate in-game, player support, and community content from English to Russian to a high-quality standard.
  • Perform Quality Assurance tasks in a variety of published content (games, websites, etc.).
  • Be responsible for all linguistic aspects of the translations you are assigned to ensure the best possible quality is achieved.
  • Suggest process improvements that will deliver on goal of optimal translation quality.
  • Collaborate with linguists in other languages on cross-group Quality objectives.
Requirements:
  • Native level Russian speaker.
  • Possession for games industry.
  • Educational qualification in linguistics.
  • Experience in translation, copywriting or linguistics.
  • Excellent verbal and written linguistic skills both in Russian and English.
  • Good PC knowledge, including knowledge of MS office products is essential (basic knowledge of Excel, or willingness to learn).
  • Must be self-motivated and able to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CAT tool software, e.g., Memsource/Phrase, MemoQ an advantage.
