Game Translation Specialist

The role of a Game Translation Specialist is to provide high-quality translations and trans creations from English into Russian for player support, community, and in-game content for mobile games. The specialist will be responsible for testing, identifying, and reporting bugs, as well as suggesting fixes to potential bugs relating to language, text implementation, and user interface (UI) issues.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate/trans create in-game, player support, and community content from English to Russian to a high-quality standard
  • Perform Quality Assurance tasks in various published content (games, websites, etc.)
  • Be responsible for all linguistic aspects of the translations assigned to ensure the best possible quality is achieved
  • Suggest process improvements that will deliver on the goal of optimal translation quality

Requirements:
  • Native-level Russian speaker
  • Passion for the games industry
  • Educational qualification in linguistics
  • Experience in translation, copywriting, or linguistics
  • Excellent verbal and written linguistic skills both in Russian and English
  • Good PC knowledge, including knowledge of MS office products is essential (basic knowledge of Excel, or willingness to learn)
  • Must be self-motivated and able to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with CAT tool software (e.g., Memsource/Phrase, MemoQ) an advantage
