Performance Swimming Coach Role

We are seeking an experienced Strength and Conditioning coach to join our Performance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the physical preparation of athletes, working closely with coaches to develop tailored programs.

This is a part-time coaching contract that offers opportunities for professional development, enabling the practitioner to deliver at the highest levels.

The National Centre provides formal and informal professional development, enabling the practitioner to deliver strength and conditioning in a performance sport environment.

The successful candidate will support the physical preparation of athletes with a primary responsibility for the Development section of the Programme.

They will work within a dynamic system to develop and support identified aquatic talent, those who are driven to stand on World & Olympic podiums.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Performance and/or Performance Pathway programmes, as well as strong leadership skills and ability to direct programme development.

Applicants must also display:

  • Able to support athletes transitioning to a Performance environment;
  • Plan for and attend swim meets and camps as required;
  • Work unsocial hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends;
  • Travel within Ireland for meetings and secondments;
  • Hold a recognised Strength & Conditioning Association coaching qualification or capability to attain such within the term of the contract.
