The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager/Project Controls Lead to join our Engineering Department on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader in the Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) industry.


About the Job

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of in-house capital projects from conception through to completion. You will act as both Project Manager and Project Controls Lead, ensuring strong safety culture and compliance throughout project execution.

You will deliver projects that meet business needs and regulatory requirements, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, and identify innovative engineering design solutions to meet client/end-user requirements.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of capital projects from concept through implementation and close-out, including design, construction, commissioning, qualification, schedule, and cost control.
  • Ensure strong safety culture and compliance throughout project execution.
  • Deliver projects that meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Identify innovative engineering design solutions to meet client/end-user requirements.
  • Manage project schedules, track progress, and maintain risk registers.
  • Oversight multi-disciplinary project teams and coordination with contractors and resources.


Project Controls

As Project Controls Lead, you will develop and implement cost and schedule control processes using existing financial and project management platforms.

You will support project managers with budgeting, resource planning, contract strategy, earned value monitoring, and forecasting.

Monitoring financial performance and ensuring the project portfolio meets business objectives will be your priority.

You will also implement robust change management processes and risk management practices.


What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or Construction-related).
  • Minimum 10 years of capital project management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and contract management.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • API manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
