Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of hospitality and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the bar, including supervising staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and ensuring that all customers receive excellent service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the supervision of all bar areas, including main bar, function bar and terrace bar;
  • Responsible for the efficient dispensing and serving of all drinks;
  • Ensuring presentation of the hotel is of the highest standard at all times;
  • Preparing bar rota in conjunction with business needs of the hotel and sign off on payroll hours;
  • Communicating required operating standards to all bar staff and ensure they understand and implement such standards at all times;
  • Ensuring every customer is given a receipt and staff are trained accordingly;
  • Controlling and ensuring stock-taking procedures are adhered to and weekly targets are achieved;
  • Achieving gross profit margin and net margin as agreed with GM/Proprietors;
  • Being responsible for allocation of stock, procedures and monitoring of night porters press;
  • Having in-depth knowledge of all health & safety regulations and how they relate to the hotel;
  • Seeking opportunities to develop yourself in relation to technical training and professional development;
  • Conducting performance appraisals and regular staff training;
  • Ensuring staff comply with grooming, uniform, and service standards;
  • Designing and updating beverage menus, ensuring alignment with current trends and customer preferences.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Bar Manager in a hotel or upscale hospitality environment is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of providing excellent customer service and managing a team of staff to deliver exceptional results. Key skills and qualifications include:
