Memory Walk Volunteer

Enhance the lives of individuals with dementia by participating in our Memory Walk events. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for participants.

The Role
  • You will work alongside our team to ensure a successful event.
  • Responsibilities include greeting and encouraging walkers, providing hydration, guiding participants along the route, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Additionally, you will assist coordinators with updates and relay information as needed.

Our day centre focuses on enhancing the quality of life for individuals with dementia through meaningful activities, social interaction, and person-centered care.

Requirements
  • Clear communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Approachability, observance, reliability, punctuality, and teamwork are also required.
  • You should have basic English language skills and be over 16 years old.
Time Commitment

This role requires a minimum time commitment of once off, lasting 2 hours.
