Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Practitioner to join our team. This is a dynamic role that will play a key part in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all employees within our organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various tasks such as safety promotion, fire risk assessments, new product/process evaluations, first aid/spill management, risk assessments, safety committee meetings, accident root cause investigations, and systems auditing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have a Level 7 or 8 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or Engineering, along with additional training/experience in Occupational Health and Safety Management. You should also possess good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and be able to learn new systems quickly.
