Job Title: Maintenance Fitter

The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

  • Conduct regular checks and repairs on beef processing equipment, including conveyors and packaging machinery.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Replace and repair defective components, such as motors and hydraulic systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality control standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment history.

Requirements:

  • A time-served Mechanical, Automation & Maintenance Fitter or Time-served mechanic with 2 years post-apprenticeship experience is required.
  • Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics, electrical and mechanical installations, and refrigeration systems is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong troubleshooting ability, and logical problem-solving approach are essential.
  • A full driving license and ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision is also required.
