Senior Production Operations Manager


Job Description:

This key role is responsible for overseeing production operations, implementing standard operating procedures, and driving lean manufacturing initiatives. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for consistent and safe production.
  • Manage and mentor production teams while promoting accountability and ongoing development.
  • Establish and oversee production schedules and staffing plans to meet delivery and quality targets.
  • Lead lean manufacturing efforts to reduce waste and improve workflow.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure smooth production and delivery.
  • Oversee equipment, inventory, and material planning to support production needs.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for operational efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Ensure manufacturing operations adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Support the scaling up of operations, including facility layout planning and recruitment of mechanical and electrical assembly teams.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Level 7 Degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing management role, ideally within electro-mechanical or custom-built industrial equipment environments.
  • Practical experience applying lean principles and 5S methodology.
  • Background in metal fabrication is advantageous.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes and SOPs.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and build effective production teams.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in production planning and resource management tools.
