Job Overview:

The Senior BID Manager will provide strategic guidance and leadership to a team of estimators, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all estimates. The role requires involvement in multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to focus on exact requirements for specific opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop excellence in the estimating function in support of Sales and Hire within the Irish Business Unit
  • Manage the cost estimation process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and leading a team of estimators
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure high-standard bid submissions
  • Provide a full and professional estimating service to support Commercial leads in defining the scope of Modular Hire Projects; contribute to cost and margin calculations with a commercial mindset
  • Develop Bid Documentation, Project BOQ and Budgets; evaluate contractor and supplier bids and deliver category awards
  • Lead or contribute to value engineering exercises to optimise project costs without compromising quality
  • Support the procurement process by preparing cost estimates and leading contract analysis

Educational Requirements:

A relevant degree or technical qualification is required; however, relevant experience is more important.
