Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager to join our team in driving the success of home energy upgrade projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

About the Role:
  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for each home energy upgrade project, taking into account the unique needs and requirements of each client.
  • Client Management: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, acting as their primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Contractor Coordination: Manage and oversee the work of external contractors, ensuring that they adhere to project plans and quality standards, and that all work is completed to the required level of quality and safety.
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources (time, materials, personnel) to ensure projects are completed efficiently, while minimizing costs and maximizing value.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project timelines or budgets, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to minimize the risk of delays or cost overruns.
  • Financial Management: Track project expenses, manage budgets, and ensure that projects remain profitable, while maintaining accurate and transparent financial records.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice to clients on Home Energy Assessments, SEAI grant applications, and available finance options, helping them to make informed decisions about their home energy upgrades.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations and building codes, and that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained prior to commencing work.
  • Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to management, highlighting key milestones and any potential issues, and making recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
  • Site Visits: Conduct thorough site visits, including accessing attics and other high areas as needed, to ensure that all work is being carried out safely and to the required standard.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within the construction or energy efficiency sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices and building regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Full driving license and own transport.
