Senior Culinary Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef to lead our culinary team in a busy venue located in South Dublin. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent leadership skills and the ability to produce high-quality food consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be a hands-on Head Chef who can lead by example and be responsible for all aspects of food preparation and service
  • Recruitment, training, and development of new and existing staff
  • Menu planning for the restaurant
  • Sourcing high-quality products from local suppliers
  • To ensure excellent gross profit margins and minimal waste
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain budget compliance
  • Regularly review and monitor suppliers
  • To ensure excellent HACCP practices throughout the kitchen and that all staff are trained accordingly
  • A consistent high level of food quality is maintained at all times
  • To adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef in a busy hotel or upmarket restaurant
  • Experience with menu planning for restaurants and functions
  • Excellent financial acumen and proven track record of achieving high gross profit margins
  • Strong culinary and creative background, with knowledge of industry trends
  • A good leader and motivator who can lead by example and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to produce high-quality food consistently
  • Possession of relevant qualifications and certifications
